Joel Gianninoto Joins Ledyard as a Commercial Relationship Manager

Ledyard Bank is pleased to announce that Joel Gianninoto has joined as Vice President and Commercial Relationship Manager. Joel is an accomplished Commercial Relationship Manager with more than 15 years of experience in C&I and CRE lending across New England. Known for his ability to originate, structure, and manage complex credit transactions, he has built a strong reputation for driving growth while deepening relationships with business clients, community partners, and centers of influence. Joel has expertise and experience in many areas, including credit analysis, underwriting, portfolio management, and partnering with nonprofit organizations that support building communities with access to vital resources.   

Prior to joining Ledyard, Joel served as a Vice President and Commercial Lender at BankProv, where he managed a diverse portfolio of commercial clients primarily in Southern, NH, MA and Southern, ME. Previously, he led the bank’s Business Lending Team.  His earlier career includes roles at Citizens Financial Group—where he managed a 200‑client portfolio and ranked among the top performers in client satisfaction—and Salem Five Bank in Burlington, MA.

Joel believes in strengthening the communities where he lives and works, proving a deep commitment to community engagement. He has held leadership roles at several nonprofits, such as the Manchester, NH, Rotary and Granite United Way. His volunteer work spans community service initiatives, housing support, and food security programs. Joel holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Economics from Western New England University and has completed advanced commercial credit training through Omega and the American Bankers Association.
